The Good Samaritan Girls Orphanage is now home to twenty-five girls and the Good Samaritan Boys Orphanage is now home to seven boys.  As the children of Good Samaritan Homes grow and mature, we are focused on providing ways to help them bond as a family and to attain the self‐sufficiency that is necessary for a successful transition into adult life.

We are working to establish post‐secondary schooling and/or professional training opportunities and small business start‐up programs to help break Haiti’s pervasive cycle of poverty. 

The outreach of Good Samaritan expands beyond the orphanage into the city of Port-au-Prince, assisting others in need. In order to better reflect this, the ministry was named Good Samaritan Ministries in 2009.  Good Samaritan Ministries is a foundation on which we will continue build and expand AWAKENHAITI.
